吃客家辦桌先扛桌凳　遊客喘吁吁

【黃瑞娟／台東報導】關山鎮新埔社區今舉辦「新埔古厝‧懷舊喜宴」活動，邀請遊客騎單車遊客庄，中午在廖家古厝吃辦桌。社區媽媽總動員，穿著客家藍衫，頭戴花頭巾搓「粢粑」居民重現40年前「扛桌凳」技藝，將4角木桌及4張長凳扛上肩，擺桌端上最具代表性的「四炆四炒」客家菜，遊客也來嘗試，氣喘吁吁地說：「太累了，要多吃兩碗補充體力」新埔社區協會理事長彭東輝說，早期不流行外燴，每當要設酒席請客時，必須和鄰家商借桌椅，村民互助合作，把自家桌凳扛到設宴地點，可說是「一家辦喜事，全村總動員」充分展現客家人勤儉互助的精神。
