今日是西洋情人節，馬英九總統特別一早前往花蓮，拜訪媒體名人王尚智及其母江美華，馬總統特別致贈國旗圍巾給江美華，江美華笑稱，這是今年情人節最好的禮物。

馬總統昨日接受電子媒體專訪時表示，在他任內的一天，就沒有看守、跛腳問題。而對於前國安會秘書長金溥聰因健康因素請辭，馬總統則說，他會跟金保持聯絡，不會因為金不在團隊就感到孤單。

同時，馬總統也強調，只要他身為中華民國總統的一天，沒有什麼看守的問題，也沒有什麼跛腳的問題，「還有一年多任期，很多事可以做」，該做的就要做。

事隔一日，馬總統前往花蓮拜訪王尚智與家人。馬總統到場後，一見江美華就與江媽媽來個大大的擁抱，王尚智並在臉書張貼張羅早餐招待馬總統的照片，王尚智說，「客人快來了，早餐備妥，我嫌份量太少，上桌八個人怎麼夠吃啦」！
