英國電訊報報導，美國赫茲菲爾德加勒比海基金（Herzfeld Caribbean Basin）價格在四天內飆漲一倍，原因似乎是這檔基金的股票代號為「CUBA」。

赫茲菲爾德加勒比海基金持有一些可望因美國與古巴恢復邦交而受惠的企業股票，但這檔基金價格之所以大漲，真正原因似乎是投資人被它的股票代號「CUBA」吸引。

這檔在那斯達克掛牌上市的基金在上周二（16日）美國總統歐巴馬宣布與古巴恢復邦交前，價格還在7美元左右，隔天隨即漲到約10美元，並繼續上漲，如今已來到約14美元。

股票代號影響交易的現象並非頭一次發生，例如去年就有一些投資人誤買進Tweeter家庭娛樂公司的股票，只因為它的股票代號「TWTRQ」讓他們誤認這家公司是推特（Twitter）。
