「國民媽媽」金慈玉16日爆出因肺癌病逝，享年63歲。她曾飾演超夯韓劇《我叫金三順》金三順的媽媽、《咖啡王子1號店》崔漢傑的繼母等角色為人熟知，2013年又和人氣紅星李昇基、金喜愛在綜藝節目《花漾姐姐》當背包客，受到關注。16日驚傳惡耗，讓眾多粉絲相當難過。

韓劇中常飾演婆婆媽媽一角的金慈玉，其實6年前就曾罹患大腸癌，定期治療後又罹患肺癌。她3天前停止演藝工作入院診治，不過16日卻傳出病逝消息，讓粉絲錯愕又不捨。據了解，靈堂將設立於首爾聖母醫院，預計19日（三）出殯。
