雙臉嬰平安出世　取名「信念」和「希望」

今年2月澳洲雪梨西部一名孕婦蕾妮楊格（Renee Young），懷孕19周產檢時發現腹中連體嬰患有雙臉畸胎症(diprosopus)，也就是擁有2張臉、2個獨立的大腦，卻只有1個身體，當時醫生建議「中止妊娠」，不過他們仍決定產下寶寶。

8日蕾妮提早迎接連體嬰誕生，比預產期提早6周，趕好剛在母親節前出生，夫婦為雙臉畸胎分別改名做「信念」和「希望」，這對夫妻已經育有7子，雖然不確定「信念」和「希望」可以活多久，爸媽表示至少目前一切安好，能有多少相處時間都要好好珍惜。

連體嬰出生後能自行呼吸和進食，醫生也感到驚奇，這種罕見案例，至今全球僅出現過35宗，沒有一個胎兒存活下來。（國際中心／綜合外電報導）
