Taiwan January export value down on month, up on year, says MOF

Taiwan recorded export value of US$25.12 billion for January 2015, decreasing 2.1% on month but increasing 3.4% on year, while import value totaled US$20.32 billion, slipping 4.2% on month and 4.8% on year, according to the Ministry of Finance (MOF).
Among different categories of Taiwan-made products, electronics had the largest export value of US$8.349 billion in January, slipping 1% on month but growing 11.9% on year.
