英國國教主教建議查爾斯登基亦誦可蘭經

英國國教一名主教建議，查爾斯當國王的登基大典，應該把誦讀可蘭經納入節目單。不過，不少人認為英國國教領導人的登基典禮誦讀可蘭經，背棄了英國以基督宗教立國的精神。

二十年前，查爾斯就說過，他要當一名守護信仰的人。他的英國國教子民和新教以及天主教的子民同等重要。

牛津地區前主教哈里斯說，查爾斯願意當所有信仰的守護人。所以，他的登基大典最好讀一段可蘭經，讓穆斯林、印度教徒、拜火教徒等不同信仰的人，都覺得英國接納了他們。

不過，英國基督教研究所的塞門說，在基督宗教的教堂舉行的基督宗教儀式上，讀一段可蘭經，很多人會覺得相當突兀。
