教師節前夕 ，賴市長以親筆信獻上感恩與祝福 也表明台南明年續辦特招政策是「忠於價值的選擇」，期待台南學子適性揚才、行行出狀元，賴市長指出，為了維持免試入學重視多元學習與多元表現，擺脫考試領導教學，發揮因材施教、適性揚才的12年國教核心理念，台南市明年會續辦特招，同時也將維持保障偏鄉弱勢學童有機會進入以學術見長的高中就讀，讓教改的最後一哩路真正在台南走落實。
