藍鳥對水手之戰以1比0贏球，其中先發投手Mark Buehrle收下本季第13勝，同時寫下連續14年都投滿200局的記錄，為百年來史上第7人有此成就。

儘管前2戰繳出12局爆9分，Buehrle這一戰重振旗鼓，前8局投完僅被敲2支安打，在第9局面對1人次被敲安後退場，單場飆出10次三振、無失分，防禦率3.39。

這位35歲的老將投完8局，本季投球局數累積至202局，是自1901年來，大聯盟史上第7位至少連14年單季200局的球員，前6位包括連14年的Phil Niekro、Christy Mathewson、Greg Maddux，和連15年的Don Sutton、Gaylord Perry，以及連續17年的Warren Spahn。

此役雙方速戰速決，全場打完僅耗1小時59分鐘，是大聯盟自2012年6月27日來，首場不到2小時的比賽，當時是教士對太空人之戰以1比0贏球，兩隊僅花了1小時58分鐘。
