近年來隨著電子競技遊戲的普及與大眾化，影響電腦硬體周邊配備的發展方向，許多廠商為符合電子競技的遊戲高度需求，紛紛投入開發高效能或是更符合電子競技需求的電腦主機及筆電。
為了讓電競遊戲的使用者，在操作上能更精準、更舒適，甚至針對不同的電競遊戲的功能性，開發出專屬於電子競技的電腦週邊配備，舉凡耳機、鍵盤、滑鼠、滑鼠墊等，因此帶動Razer雷蛇、GAMDIAS競電、SteelSeries賽睿、TESORO鐵修羅、Ozone、zowie等以電競配備周邊為主廠商的發展。

這類專業電競配備在開發上，為求能更貼電子競技使用者的便利性，大多會邀請電子競技選手參與產品的開發設計，藉由選手在使用上的經驗做為開發設計方向，讓產品能更符合市場需求，並且贊助相關配備給知名電競選手或戰隊，讓選手親身體驗產品優缺點，做為之後參產開發的參考依據，同時選手在比賽中所使用的周邊配備，也容易成為粉絲或玩家所詢問的焦點之一。


近年電子競技的發展不但引起玩家討論，更帶動電競周邊蓬勃發展！
