愛美之心人皆有之，不過得『取之有道』。阿根廷聖羅莎一名女子為了讓胸部顯得更加豐盈，竟將凡士林(Vaseline)注射到自己的胸部，後該女子因身體不適去就醫，最終不治身亡。

環球網據英國《每日郵報》報導，據悉，該女子名叫索尼婭 佩雷斯•拉諾佐恩(Sonia Perez Llanzon)，是當地一名業餘運動員。事發當天，索尼婭感到呼吸不暢，便前往醫院接受治療。醫生表示，該女子的肺部有血凝塊，正是血凝塊導致她呼吸困難，乃至最終喪命。

起初，該女子並未如實告知醫生自己的狀況。病情惡化後，該女子才坦言自己為了豐胸，把凡士林注射到胸部。但為時已晚，醫生稱其肺部的血凝塊已經在其體記憶體在將近1個月了；人體的抗體可以抵禦、分解細菌和病毒，但是無法分解凡士林。

當地醫生提醒道，凡士林含有石油成分，不宜向體內注射，否則有可能導致人體組織受損、性功能障礙等病症。
