嘉義就業服務站於30日(三)上午將辦理現場徵才活動，嘉義在地的泓軒食品有限公司徵求日班食品處理作業員十名，薪資面議，南科園區的群創光電股份有限公司招募現場技術員有50名，日班月薪約兩萬二以上、夜班月薪約兩萬八千元以上，並提供路線行經嘉義的員工交通車及員工宿舍，歡迎求職民眾前往應徵。

嘉義就服站指出，根據勞委會職訓局各公立就業服務機構求才與求職人數統計，9月份平均每位求職者約有1.72個工作機會，與上月持平，較去年同月則是增加32%，顯示就業市場仍維持穩定狀態，求職民眾得把握機會找到合適的工作機會。

嘉義就服站站長劉達源表示，為減少失業勞工因距離所致的就業障礙，協助跨域就業意願低的勞工儘速重回勞動市場就業，同時紓緩區域性及產業性缺工問題，勞委會職訓局規劃「跨域就業津貼」，幫助非自願離職或失業3個月以上之失業者透過公立就服機構諮詢媒合，到離住所30公里以外地區就業滿30日以上便可以申請，包含租屋、交通及搬遷等3種津貼，建議求職民眾可善用政府就業促進補助，幫助自己穩定就業後再追求職涯發展。
