多倫多動物園自今(2013)年5月開放大陸貓熊館起成為遊客蜂擁而至的熱門景點，而動物園將遊客人數大幅增長歸功於貓熊大毛和二順。
據新華網報導，「最新發表的統計數據顯示，多倫多動物園在今年5月共接待了188,782名遊客，遊客人數較原先的預期多了10%，與去年同期相比則增長了8.7%。」
此外，貓熊首次亮相在維多利亞日長週末，多倫多動物園在短短三日內就接待了56,803名遊客，較預期升高57.8%。
多倫多動物園董事會主席Joe Torzsok表示，他對貓熊帶動遊客人數的增長表示很欣喜，並希望動物園能再接再厲，吸引更多遊客到動物園觀賞貓熊。多倫多動物園的行政總裁John Tracogna則表示，「對於那些已經到訪多倫多動物園參觀貓熊館的遊客而言，他們會覺得物有所值。」
來自大陸的大毛和二順於今年三月底抵達多倫多，並於5月17日正式亮相。多倫多動物園投入約8400萬台幣興建貓熊館，且每年平均投入約10,920萬台幣維持營運。此外，動物園希望大毛和二順能進行交配，但目前仍無任何跡象。
貓熊大毛和二順在抵達加拿大時，受到加拿大總理哈珀夫婦親自接機。兩隻貓熊將在多倫多動物園居住5年，之後移居卡加利動物園5年。
