「表弟」DeMarcus Cousins本季暴怒性格有所收斂，也讓大家開始把注意力放在他的球技上面，生涯第5季終於進入明星賽。

DeMarcus Cousins一進到NBA就充分展現天賦，生涯第2個球季繳出場均18.1分11籃板的優質成績單。

但「脾氣」一直是他的最大罩門，身上累積許多技術犯規，也讓DeMarcus Cousins一直無緣明星賽的大雅之堂。

去年經過美國隊的洗禮，DeMarcus Cousins本季性格有所收斂，也終於獲得外界關愛，遞補受傷的Kobe Bryant進入西區明星賽陣容。

本季表弟出賽32場，場均23.8分12.3籃板1.6火鍋，籃板是本季NBA第3多，僅次於DeAndre Jordan及Andre Drummond。
