（中央社烏干達首都坎帕拉13日綜合外電報導）烏干達在首都坎帕拉（Kampala）市中心破獲疑似「恐怖陰謀」後，警方今天升高飯店和公共場所警備。

路透社報導，烏干達警方發言人在坎帕拉記者會表示：「我們逐步增派人手在市內、重要市鎮及其他易發生事情的地區巡邏。」

美國駐烏干達大使館稍早發布聲明說，烏干達破獲索馬利亞伊斯蘭主義好戰團體青年黨（al Shabaab）旗下「小型恐怖組織」，據信他們正在策劃最近發動攻擊。聲明要求美國人在當局展開肅清行動時，尋找避難場所。

大使館不確定特定目標為何，但說當局已在恩特貝國際機場（Entebbe International Airport）等重要場所增加維安人手。

聲明說：「烏干達當局今天通報，在坎帕拉發現一個屬於青年黨的小型恐怖組織。」「持續調查似乎發現該組織一直計劃最近發動一起攻擊，我們會繼續與烏干達對口單位密切聯繫。」

烏干達警方在稍後的記者會上說，破解一樁陰謀後，起出許多爆裂物並逮捕人數不明的外國人。
