闊別許久的單打戰場，謝政鵬在會外賽連過兩關，比賽向來「人來瘋」的他，坦言已經開始興奮，也感謝女友在旁時時盯著，才得以撐過復建黑暗期。

謝政鵬今天以6-3、6-4擊敗胡浩陽，明天再勝莊庭宇就能晉級會內賽，「開始興奮了哦！」他賽後笑得開心，表示狀況比昨天好很多。

因為背袋卡在椅子上，謝政鵬一時不察，拉起背帶因而弄傷左手大拇指，還因此開刀治療，整整兩年無法正常出賽，還一度想放棄網球。

「當時會很焦慮，那時還想拚亞運，結果練習讓狀況更糟，去年想說轉任教練，協助姐姐、妹妹處理出國比賽的事情就好。」謝政鵬說，還好女友的鼓勵讓他打消念頭。

謝政鵬的女友謝敏薇說，覺得謝政鵬還年輕，應該要繼續往上拚，因此盯著謝政鵬，會強拉他去跑步，催促他練球，原本討厭曬太陽的謝敏薇，還因此學打網球。

「她還特地報名參加乙組的比賽，這樣可以一起練球。」謝政鵬說，很感謝女友的支持，他一開始也當減肥跟著練習、跑步，現在自己會自發性去練習。
