甜度6.7的甜椒　可當水果吃

全國最大甜椒產區嘉義縣，受亞蔬中心及中興大學之託，與新港鄉蔬菜產銷班第52班合作，試植新品種甜椒達800株，經過7個月的培育，已結實壘壘。

有多年育種彩色甜椒經驗的班長吳石城說，新品種亞蔬3號和14號，生長力強，尤其甜度比市面上既有品種高出1-2度，可達到6.7度，口感爽脆，熟食或生食都適合，更可以當水果吃，堪稱高纖維、低熱量，且新品種甜椒較能抗蟲害，可減少肥料資材的使用量，種植成本因此減少1成，栽植成果也超出預期的好。（簡志偉／嘉義報導）
