【謝岱穎／綜合報導】國聯冠軍戰第6場，波士頓紅襪在7局下靠著第2棒維克托里諾(Shane Victoria)的滿貫全壘打，上演逆轉戲碼，以5比2力克底特律老虎，在系列賽中取得4勝2敗，繼2007年之後再度挺進世界大賽。

世界大賽將於10月24日早上7點30分於波士頓芬威球場開打，7戰4勝制賽事中，紅襪擁有第1、2、6、7戰主場優勢，聖路易紅雀則擁有第3、4、5戰主場優勢。

紅襪在5局下先突破老虎王牌薛澤(Max Scherzer)的封鎖，開路先鋒艾斯貝瑞(Jacoby Ellsbury)適時安打攻下1分，但6局上老虎馬上還以顏色，馬丁尼茲(Victor Martinez)敲出2分打點安打，反而以2比1領先。7局下，薛澤留下1出局一、二壘有人狀況退場，紅襪艾斯貝瑞擊出二、游間滾地球，有機會製造雙殺，但老虎游擊手伊格雷西亞斯(Jose Iglesias)出現致命失誤，形成滿壘，下一棒的維克托里諾就從老虎後援投手維拉斯(Jose Veras)手中敲出大滿貫。
