【綜合報導】現年14歲的薑薑(Ginger)，被主人關在封閉狹小的空間，從未出過門，也從未剪過毛髮和指甲，毛髮拖地還長入嘴巴，根本看不出是頭獅子狗，指甲也過長捲曲，薑薑甚至忘了如何走路。
 
達拉斯動保人員從主人手裡救出薑薑，為牠修剪毛髮和指甲，表示這是他們看過狀況最糟糕的寵物犬，薑薑現在還得重新學習如何走路，動保人員把薑薑的故事放上臉書和大家分享，引發熱烈回響，現在薑薑將暫居在動保庇護所，直到康復為止，至於薑薑的前主人，將不會被起訴任何罪名。
