本屆亞錦賽最後一場戰役，上演伊朗與菲律賓爭冠之戰，哈達迪(Hamed Hadadi)持續在禁區肆虐豪取29分和16籃板，順利幫助伊朗以85比71輕鬆擊退菲律賓，拿下本屆冠軍。

上屆亞錦賽冠軍中國大陸，今年征戰菲律賓狀況陷入低潮，未能晉級4強戰，而西亞籃球霸主伊朗以「無敗」的完美戰績一路攻頂，拿下隊史第3座亞錦賽冠軍，正式成為亞洲霸主。

與菲律賓冠軍戰，上半場雙方陷入膠著戰，但下半場當家控衛卡瑞尼(Madhi Karani)掌握比賽節奏，全場他貢獻15分、7籃板和5助攻，而218公分的中鋒哈達迪則利用身材優勢強打內線，他全場砍進29分和16籃板，幾乎「完爆」禁區。

不過菲律賓也非省油的燈，在威廉斯(Jayson Williams)18分的帶領下，一度把比分追近，但還是守不住伊朗的兇猛攻勢，有「亞洲第一小前鋒」之稱的巴赫拉米(Mohammadsamad Nik Khahbahrami)雖然手感不佳，仍有19分進帳，且樂於分球另有7助攻的表現，幫助球隊流暢輪轉，最終拿下比賽勝利。
