國際信評機構標普(S&P)周五(5日)將其對葡萄牙的評級展望自穩定下調至負面，稱在本周兩名重要閣員辭職後，該國「本已充滿重重挑戰的政府決策」面臨了難題。

標普在1份電子郵件聲明中表示：「我們認為日漸升高的政治不穩定性可能對即將到來的葡萄牙發債情形跟在2014年退出的期待造成影響。」

經修正後的展望意味著，葡萄牙日漸升高的政治不穩定性若使得其維持財政秩序的努力走緩且來自於官方借貸業者的支持力量遭到削弱的話，標普可能調降該國的BB評級。

這些官方借貸業者包含歐盟(EU)以及國際貨幣基金組織(IMF)。
