儘管美股今年以來表現為負，但華頓商學院知名金融教授 Jeremy Siegel 仍再次強調，道瓊工業指數今年仍然「非常非常有可能」站上兩萬點。

儘管美股最近表現相當不佳，但一直以來都是多頭司令的 Siegel 教授週三再次對《CNBC》表示，他認為道瓊今年上 20000 點是非常有可能會發生的。

Siegel 指出，油價下跌和美元升值，對美國經濟都是好事。只不過，油價跌勢和美元升勢太兇，導致企業獲利與財測一片混亂。但他認為，只要能度過這段混亂期，這些因素穩定下來，股市就有可能回漲。

此外，不少分析師建議投資人將資金轉向歐洲，並指美國股票估值過高，歐洲相對具有吸引力。針對這一點，Siegel 提出警告，歐元還是有續貶的風險，因為歐洲央行 (ECB) 還沒開始量化寬鬆。但他也指出，投資人當然可以針對歐元貶值進行避險，而且歐洲的確有些不錯的股票，尤其是出口商。
