蘋果的智慧手表備受矚目，而電池壽命也是人們最關心的問題，最新說法指出充一次電最多能用19個小時。

環球科技據英國《每日郵報》報導，技術博客9to5mac指出，如果持續使用的話，電池只能用4小時。蘋果對於Apple Watch的預期目標為：

2.5到4小時的活躍使用app時間

19小時的活躍/不活躍使用時間

3天的純待機時間

睡眠模式下達到4天

來自9to5mac的Mark Gurman說：『頭一次有知情人士願意透露蘋果為Apple Watch定下的性能目標，但實際性能可能會比預期要差。』『據我們的消息來源，蘋果為Apple Watch選用了更為強大的處理器和高質量的螢幕，這兩項都相當耗電。』

相比蘋果所定下的高標準，該網站的情報來源則說，純待機或睡眠模式下，Apple Watch可能只能續航2-3天。Apple Watch運行iOS的簡化版SkiHill，內置的Apple S1晶片，據說性能可媲美最新一代iPod touch中的A5處理器。人們相信，蘋果還在積極升級軟體，以在3月出貨之前提高電池壽命。
