英市售香腸含戊型肝炎病毒

科學家警告，英格蘭與威爾斯市面上販售的香腸和加工豬肉產品中，約有1成含有戊型肝炎病毒。

英國政府的官方統計顯示，2003年國內確診的戊型肝炎病毒（hepatitis E virus）病例有124起，到了2013年大幅增加到691起，今年上半年則有461起。

倫敦大學學院（UCL）教授泰德（Richard Tedder）指出，戊型肝炎病毒在英國非常普遍，但有一些病例並沒被注意到或沒記錄，戊型肝炎病毒的起源來自豬隻，包括用在香腸的加工豬肉和豬肉派，都可能含有病毒。

泰德指出，要避免感染戊型肝炎病毒，烹飪時必須徹底煮熟，約以攝氏70度，烹煮20分鐘，才能有效殺菌。

不過他說，這次調查取樣的香腸約63種，無法代表英國全數的香腸安全情況，但將香腸徹底煮熟是減少感染病毒的不二法門。(中央社)
