通訊軟體LINE在10月9日時，於東京年度大會「LINE Conference Tokyo 2014」發表新的支付系統LINE Pay，搶進支付市場。

LINE表示，LINE Pay讓用戶可以在iPhone和 Android手機上用LINE的應用程式來支付各種服務，例如LINE相關服務、合作商店、網路服務與應用程式。支付的方式包括結合信用卡、便利商店付款，也可以在指定銀行預先於帳號儲值金額。用戶可以利用LINE Pay的Share Payment功能與其他有使用LINE的朋友一起分攤購買的商品及服務。Send Money功能可在不需要輸入對方的銀行資訊之下,直接將錢轉到朋友的銀行帳號。而Withdrawal功能，則可讓用戶在自己的銀行帳號直接提取入帳的錢。

LINE Pay共有三項安全機制：一、用戶必須設立另一組與LINE帳號不同的密碼作為第二層驗證。二、Apple Touch ID指紋認證（僅適用iPhone）將被要求檢視密碼。三、使用電腦版時,將強制透過智慧型手機進行認證，這些防護系統將能確保用戶在安全的狀況下進行交易。 LINE Pay預計在2014年冬季發表，多數服務會在日本率先推出，
