遭閃電襲擊，一般人的結局是喪命。但美國新墨西哥州一名孕婦遭襲擊後，不僅幸運地活下來，還成功地生下小寶寶。只是1年過後，小嬰兒的大部分頭髮依然直立著，仿佛永遠處於『充電狀態』。

國際在線據美國《紐約每日新聞》報導，這位女子名為肯德拉‧維拉努埃瓦（Kendra Villanueva）。2013年7月4日，當天正下著大雨，她與男友伊恩（Ian）來到一棵樹下避雨，不料卻被閃電擊中，雙雙昏迷。在被緊急送往醫院後，醫生為維拉努埃瓦進行了剖腹產手術，成功接生小嬰兒金伯利‧戈登（Kimberly Gordon）。

因遭閃電襲擊，戈登的部分神經受損，導致其無法爬行或坐下，也無法正常進食，只能透過管道餵食。此外，她的頭髮從出生起到現在，一直維持直立狀態，為此她獲得綽號——『閃電戈登』。

目前，小戈登仍在接受治療，尚不知道何時能恢復正常進食或爬行。儘管如此，她的父母對她能幸運存活十分感激。父親伊恩說：『每個看到金伯利的人都說，她能活著堪稱奇蹟。』
