搭上世足熱，今遠銀股東會後，媒體詢問徐旭東有沒有關注運動賽事，徐說：「小時侯我也是踢足球的。」但被問到支持那一隊，他表示，以前足球比賽多由1、2人表現，但現在重視團隊，不斷傳、再傳，球員用頭、腳等技巧競爭，比以前精采。（陳瑩欣／台北報導）
