謎樣生物「大腳怪」（Bigfoot ）的存在令人感到懷疑，近日，有一位美國獵人瑞克戴雅(Rick Dyer)聲稱，自己已獵殺了傳說中的謎樣生物大腳怪，並拿出一張清晰特寫大腳怪的照片，引起嘩然。

根據美國《赫芬頓郵報》（The Huffington Post）報導，美國獵人瑞克戴雅在2008年就提出自己自己獵殺到大腳怪，但實際追查發現，竟是瑞克戴雅自導自演的一齣戲，他拿了一個裝滿肉塊的道具服佯裝自己逮到大腳怪。

而近日，瑞克戴雅再度提出聲明，並拿去「有效證據」證明這次沒有說謊,，報導指出2012年9月瑞克戴雅於聖安東尼奧附近獵殺到大腳怪。瑞克戴雅表示，當時他把一塊肉掛在樹枝上引誘大腳怪，此計果然得逞，而當時瑞克戴雅用手機拍下影片，瑞克戴雅經過一年查證確信大腳怪真實存在。

對此，他非常自傲，篤信自己一定會成為世界上最棒的大腳怪獵人！但或許是先前大家被瑞克戴雅欺騙的經歷，這一次似乎也沒太多人相信他拿出的大腳怪照片是真的。還有網友表示，照片中的生物比較像是電影《魔戒》裡的一個角色。
