面對國民黨的9月政爭，新北市長朱立倫上午表示，這對國民黨、對國家來說都是不幸的事，「除了私下大家給王院長一些鼓勵外，」現在最重要的是，讓台灣的政治運作，行政與立法的互動和司法獨立運作，應趕快回上正軌，這是民眾現在最大的期待；至於有媒體報導朱立倫有意轉戰台北市？朱立倫則駁斥表示，近來政治紛擾有很多的謠言、放話，「都沒有意義」、「這類八卦、謠言根本不值得一談！」
