英特爾秀4款Chrome電腦

（中央社台北12日電）彭博社報導，全球最大晶片製造商─英特爾（Intel Corp.）展現4款以谷歌（Google Inc.）Chrome為操作軟體電腦，擴展使用這種作業系統裝置陣容和製造夥伴關係。

英特爾公司主管11日在舊金山的活動中指出，東芝公司（Toshiba Corp.）和華碩將推出以Chrome為基礎、使用英特爾最新Haswell處理器的電腦。

現有的Chromebook合作夥伴─惠普公司（Hewlett-Packard Co.）和宏碁也在開發內建此款新晶片裝置。

在平板電腦和智慧型手機吸引消費者轉向之際，英特爾正在個人電腦（PC）幾項成長領域之一尋求擴展機會。Haswell晶片可能增強低成本Chrome電腦能力，這種電腦依賴網路服務甚於傳統PC軟體。

谷歌資深副總皮查伊（Sundar Pichai）表示，該公司計畫持續拓展裝置陣容，並預期以Chrome為基礎設備將更具競爭實力。

此外，英特爾也在這次的年度開發者論壇中推銷另外一款稱為Bay Trail晶片設計。
