無黨籍台北市長參選人柯文哲7日晚間搭乘11:30的班機前往美國，展開第二階段的「國際都會研習之旅」，五天內計劃造訪紐約和舊金山兩個城市。

柯文哲表示，舊金山主要看生技產業和資訊產業，就台北市將來可以發展的產業而言，這兩個還是最有機會，舊金山在這方面算是世界領先地位，特別是矽谷，全世界的創投新創產都在那個地方。

柯文哲說，台北對整個北台灣，舊金山對整個矽谷，雖然台北市沒有很多製造業，但是製造業公司在台北。

至於紐約，柯文哲表示，紐約還是國際大都市，因此他要去看城市治理，例如蘇活區的文創。

柯文哲說，作為一個醫生，每到一個地方還是忍不住去看醫院，剛好哥倫比亞大學有認識朋友，因此去看一看外科加護病房。
