雖然投得不夠理想，但岩隈久志還是拿到本季第14勝，追上陳偉殷、以及水手隊友「國王」Felix Hernandez，並列美聯第5。水手以7比5擊敗遊騎兵。

此役岩隈投5又1/3局，被擊出7支安打，有5次三振、1次四壞球，失3分。最大危機出現在第5局，遊騎兵隊無人出局攻佔滿壘，岩隈讓Elvis Andrus擊出雙殺打、掉1分，再讓Tomas Telis擊出滾地球出局。

水手打線轟出4發紅不讓，護航岩隈拿到5連勝。第2局Kendrys Morales敲出2分砲，5局上Mike Zunino、Brad Miller相繼開轟，打下大局。6局上Morales擊出單場第二支兩分砲，攻下水手第7分。

Zunino第5局的那支全壘打，是他本季第20號，打破水手隊捕手單季最多轟紀錄。舊紀錄是Miguel Olivo在2011年寫下的19轟。

水手隊贏得4連勝，有利角逐美聯外卡，戰績77勝63敗，美聯西區第三，外卡跟老虎並列第二，領先印地安人隊4.5場。
