金鐘影后也有卡關期，柯淑勤挑戰舞台劇《孽子》，演了8場，還有3場，卻因為在舞台上一場吃蘋果的戲，不慎被果皮卡住喉嚨，以致於沒把歌唱好。她陷入沮喪，不斷自責，經紀人廖天駿於心不忍，安排舞台劇之后郎祖筠出手指導。飯局上柯淑勤一見郎祖筠就大哉問： 「什麼是表演啊？」
 
郎祖筠縱橫舞台數十年，演藝圈桃李滿天下，即便是資深如潘儀君，當初在演《罪美麗》碰上難以駕馭的戲，也曾上門討教。郎祖筠建議柯淑勤「在舞台上先把演戲力度減少二分，這樣表演起來會更舒服，也回答她「表演就是複製生活經驗」，更不忘提供自己出糗經驗，「我上次在台上吃餅乾也被卡住，話都講不出來」。（趙大智／台北報導）
