根據今（1）日最新出刊的壹週刊報導，涉貪的前行政院祕書長林益世雖神隱政壇已久，但週刊接獲爆料，指林益世霸占日盛金控當初借給他開的黑色轎車不還，而林益世和妻子彭愛佳兩人還被週刊拍到身材復胖，與當初交保前的憔悴姿態相比，日子看起來過得相當不錯。

報導指出，林益世擔任國民黨團立院黨鞭期間，曾幫日盛金喬定一樁人事案，日盛金人事董事長黃錦塘向和運公司租下一台黑色轎車，無償借給林益世代步用，以作為答謝，時至今日，該車仍掛有租賃車牌，放在林益世的高雄鳳山老家，即使日盛金想要回車，林益世也以「需要用車」為藉口強硬拒還，報導還說，即使林益世自家仍有至少2至3台車可以開，仍堅持不還車。

對此，日盛金、和運租車尚未回應，林益世與妻子彭愛佳也不願受訪，只是兩人被週刊拍到身材復胖，與當初交保前的憔悴姿態相比，日子過得相當不錯。
