繼20:02的強震不久後，今(31)晚21時45分20秒再度發生芮氏規模4.3地震。

氣象局指出，這起地震震央位置：北緯23.60°東經121.36°、震源深度17.8公里、芮氏規模4.3，相對位置花蓮縣政府南偏西方50.3公里(位於花蓮縣光復鄉)。

各地震度級如下：

花蓮縣地區最大震度4級：紅葉4、光復3、西林3、磯崎2、壽豐2、玉里2、銅門2、鹽寮1、吉安1、花蓮市1、太魯閣1。

臺東縣地區最大震度1級：長濱1、利稻1、池上1。

嘉義縣地區最大震度1級：阿里山1。

雲林縣地區最大震度1級：草嶺1、斗六市1。

南投縣地區最大震度1級：合歡山1。

義市地區最大震度1級：嘉義市1。
