【謝岱穎／綜合報導】美國聯盟分區季後賽今起全面展開，從季末加賽到外卡驟死賽一路打上來的坦帕灣光芒隊作客波士頓紅襪的主場芬威球場，結果還是不敵紅襪主戰左投雷斯特(Jon Lester)以及綿密的機關槍打線，終場以2比12落敗，紅襪贏得5戰3勝制的首勝。兩隊將在明天早上5點30分展開第2戰，由光芒左投普萊斯(David Price)對上紅襪雷奇(John Lackey)，兩人今年都奪下10勝。
