墨西哥通過教育改革法 逾萬教師示威

在墨西哥總統潘尼亞尼托(Enrique Pena Nieto)10日簽署具爭議性的教育改革法案之後，上萬名教師11日聚集在首都墨西哥市(Mexico City)示威。警方在制止他們遊行前往總統官邸時，和部份教師發生扭打衝突。

警方表示，大約1萬2千名教師穿越市中心遊行，造成交通嚴重阻塞，鎮暴警察在總統官邸周圍加強部署，並以拒馬和卡車來阻擋示威者前進。約有80名警察以盾牌來阻擋遊行的教師，引發雙邊緊張升高。

教師聯盟的一支代表團曾獲准進入總統官邸，但他們卻失望的出來，因為當局只派出低階官員接見。

參與示威的墨西哥教師過去3週在市中心的「憲法廣場」(Zocalo square)紮營，並舉行了數場示威活動，導致交通大打結，令當地居民感到憤怒。

但儘管如此，教師們仍未能阻止國會通過潘尼亞尼托的教育改革法案，這項法案已經在10日獲總統簽署成為法律。

潘尼亞尼托力推教育改革，希望減少墨西哥教師工會CNTE對教師評鑑的控制，以及終結教師將職位傳給親屬甚至賣錢的陋習。但憂心工作不保的教師認為，這是在侵犯教師的工作權。

根據法案，墨西哥將建立起一套教師教學水平評估體系，所有教師必須參加由政府組織的統一考試進行教學評估，通過資格考試的人才能擔任教師，不合格的現有教師將被辭退。
