【綜合報導】英國首相卡麥隆在參與G20峰會前受訪表示，英國國防部位於波頓唐(Porton Down)的生化實驗室檢驗從大馬士革採集的衣服證實，敘利亞8月21日發生的化武攻擊，的確有使用致命的沙林神經毒氣。
 
英國國會否決出兵敘利亞，讓卡麥隆相當難堪，這次在聖彼得堡舉行的G20峰會，敘利亞問題成為首要討論議題，卡麥隆被問及在敘利亞議題上，英國是否已經沒戲唱了，卡麥隆強調，英國仍會持續領導敘利亞的人道救援工作，並推動和平會談。
