【大紀元2013年08月09日訊】（大紀元記者郭益昌台灣彰化報導）「2013世界龍舟錦標賽」7月24日到28日在匈牙利賽格德國家水上中心舉行，台灣只派42名選手報名參加6項比賽，就勇奪3金1銀2銅，首度奪冠外，全壘打式的光榮戰績，傲視27個參賽國家、3千多名選手。

今年中華民國龍舟協會和拓展文教基金會預計在9月19日到20日，於彰化縣福鹿溪舉辦「2013台灣國際競技龍舟錦標賽」，預計邀請日本、中國、伊朗等10餘個國際隊伍參賽。

拓展文教基金會董事長翁金珠說，希望藉由這次民間自主籌備的國際龍舟賽，以運動推廣國民外交，讓彰化能與國際接軌。
