陸軍五四二旅下士洪仲丘因高溫操練中暑暴斃，家屬表示，洪男被送禁閉時間太過匆促，且當天的氣候為紅色警戒，按理不能操練，質疑軍方行政流程有問題，操練過當。陸軍第六軍團指揮部少將主任簡士偉表示，是否有過度操練，將由檢察官來認定。

「我一閉眼就想到仲丘死去的樣子」又一夜未闔眼的洪母表示，六月廿七日兒子要去關禁閉的前一天，她最後一次與他通電話，電話中，她還勸兒子「犯了錯就要接受處罰」當時，兒子哽咽表示「部隊裡有人說要『整我』」，她還安慰兒子「凡事要忍耐」，當時軍中的輔導長還承諾，一定會讓兒子平安回來，未料竟演變至此。
