體育中心／綜合報導 謝淑薇與彭帥奪下溫網女雙冠軍後，雙打排名預計升上第四，將有希望參加年底在土耳其舉行的WTA年終賽，而傳出中國大陸有意挖角一事，消息由謝爸所釋出，但傾向贊助而不轉籍。 WTA年終賽為四大滿貫賽以外，最重要的大賽，世界排名前八的女單好手方可參加，女雙門檻則在前四，謝淑薇與彭帥若之後的比賽能保持穩定，將有機會獲得參賽資格。 而中國青海酒廠開價一年1000萬人民幣（新台幣4915萬）挖角謝淑薇，欲招募她轉籍參加中國的全運會，謝爸謝子龍證實確有此事，他說：「目前傾向掛贊助，不轉籍。」 謝淑薇的弟弟謝政鵬與妹妹謝淑映贊助經費短缺，多半由謝淑薇所支援，謝子龍表示如果台灣環境不許可，轉籍也是個選擇，將會找時間帶謝淑薇前往青海與對方洽談。 另一方面，搭檔彭帥在溫網賽後訪談曾說不認為台灣是國家一事，消息為中國大陸媒體披露，溫網官網並無女雙賽後訪談影片，目前謝淑薇並未對此發表談話。
