雖然遊戲的串流服務是一項極具潛力生意，但暫時還沒有看到該市場上有太大的競爭－暫時還是由 Twitch 更獨佔鰲頭，可是有公司想要挑戰它的地位。Valve 在今天推出了 Steam Broadcasting 服務，讓 Steam 的遊戲玩家可以單以一個按鈕就分享自己在玩的遊戲畫面給朋友（或公開給其他陌生人），而且這功能不需要額外安裝第三方程式或服務。要去觀看其他玩家正進行的遊戲，只要到他們的個人資料頁中按下「Watch Game」按鈕就可以了。如果你想跟朋友作一場閉門廝殺也可以設定這場遊戲為私人或指定的人士才可以進入觀看。 Steam Broadcasting 現在作開放公測，任何玩家都可以試用這新加入的功能，但 Valve 暫時會為觀眾人數設定上限，直至正式開放使用。
