一、依據新修正道路交通管理處罰條例第7條之1規定：對於違反本條例之行為者，民眾得敘明違規事實或檢具違規證據資料，向公路主管或警察機關檢舉，經查證屬實者，應即舉發。但行為終了日起逾七日之檢舉，不予舉發。該條文業經總統於103年6月18日公布，行政院並以103年8月11日院臺交字第1030045434號令定自103年8月15日施行。該條文施行後，民眾檢舉發生超過7日之交通違規，依法不得舉發，合先敘明。

日後 7 日外的舉發等於無效，要花時間前請先檢查日期
