山地離島醫師數 每萬人口只有9人

衛生福利部今年錄取27名偏鄉離島的公費醫學生，其中有3位原住民、3位學生來自連江縣、10位學生來自澎湖、11位學生來自金門。

衛福部自2012年開始第三期原住民族及離島地區醫事人員養成計畫，目前山地及離島衛生所醫師編制91位，其中有7成是地方養成計畫培育的公費生。

台灣平均每位人口醫師數為18.03人，但山地離島只有9人，近年來公費生已經成為偏鄉醫療的主力。
