訪美的中國大陸外交部長王毅今天在華盛頓表示，香港是屬於中國的，各國都要尊重中國的主權，相信香港特區政府完全有能力，依法處理當前的事務。

王毅與美國國務卿凱瑞（John Kerry）在國務院舉行會談，會談結束後，兩人召開共同記者會。王毅就香港「占中」運動表示，中國政府已經非常清楚的，堅定的表達立場，香港是屬於中國的，各國都要尊重中國的主權。

王毅認為，任何國家任何社會，都不會容許無視法紀，破壞公共秩序法律，美國是這樣，香港也是如此。

他說：「我們相信香港特區政府完全有能力，依法處理當前的事務。」

凱瑞表示，雙方談到香港當前的情況。他重申，已讓中方知道美國支持香港根據基本法進行普選，相信香港社會應享有最高可能的自治，依法管治，這是香港繁榮穩定的中心，並高度希望直接尊重示威者行使言論自由的權利。
