印地安人隊王牌Corey Kluber連兩場投出14次三振，幫助球隊以7比2擊退雙城。Kuber躍上大聯盟三振王，也保住球隊晉級希望。

「像這樣的表現，當然會在球季結束後，花點時間回味一下，」Kluber說，「但重要的是，我們贏了。」

Kluber前一次先發，面對太空人隊投出14K，寫下個人生涯新高，這一戰追平，本季三振數來到258，超越David Price的255K。

這一戰Kluber投8局被敲7安，前6局都至少有2次三振，失2分，配合隊友第5局製造大局，拿下本季第17勝，讓印地安人牛棚得到喘息空間。

「這對我們幫助很大，」印地安人隊教頭Terry Francona說，「這帶給我們更好的晉級機會。」
