「真理」Paul Pierce去年被交易到布魯克林籃網，今年合約到期，他這次決定，自己的球隊自己選。

根據《ESPN》報導，華盛頓巫師將以中產階級特例與Pierce簽約，價碼是2年1000萬美元，巫師將成為Pierce生涯第3個東家。

由於巫師原本的小前鋒Trevor Ariza合約到期，可能轉戰休士頓火箭，因此找來經驗豐富的Pierce填補空缺。

《紐約郵報》透漏，籃網有意和Pierce續約，考量到他們最高達2000萬、全聯盟最高的豪華稅壓力，最後還是選擇放手不留戀。
