唐獎首屆生醫獎得主　艾利森與本庶佑

《中央社》報導，第一屆唐獎「生技醫藥獎」得主，由美國學者詹姆斯‧艾利森（James P. Allison）和日本學者本庶佑共同獲得，兩人分別發現CTLA-4及PD-1為控制免疫系統重要關鍵，讓治療癌症曙光乍現。
 
《中央社》報導，現年66歲的艾利森，目前任職於美國德州大學安德森癌症中心。現年72歲的本庶佑，則任職於日本京都大學大學院醫學研究科。兩人獲獎原因，都和在免疫系統中扮演關鍵角色的T細胞有關，且都已經過臨床試驗，證實對治療癌症有效。（生活中心／台北報導）
