馬國外海沉船 66人恐溺斃

馬來西亞官員今天(18日)表示，一艘載著97名非法印尼移民的木造船隻，在馬來西亞西岸外海沉沒，其中66人恐怕已經溺斃。
馬來西亞海事執行署(Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency)官員蘇里(Muhammad Zuri)表示，這艘船並不適合海上航行，而且明顯超載，乘客中有許多婦孺。
蘇里對路透社記者表示，「這是艘非法船隻，乘客都是印尼人」。蘇里原先表示有61人失蹤，但後來改口說只有31名乘客獲救。
蘇里表示，馬來西亞海事執行署已派遣一艘救難船，協助搜尋生還者，並正加派2艘船隻至事故現場。
馬國官方新海峽時報(New Straits Times)報導，這艘船約在17日午夜沉沒，距麻六甲海峽的濱海小鎮萬津(Banting)約3公里。
