超Q懶猴幸保命　媽媽吃掉2手足

美國華盛頓國家動物園，去年12月29日迎接3隻可愛的小懶猴誕生，不過才出生20分鐘，媽媽就吃掉一隻寶寶，7天後又有另一隻寶寶被吃掉，園方擔心最後一隻寶寶也恐面臨同樣命運，決定接手照顧。
 
園方表示肉食性動物吃掉自己的孩子，不算罕見，一旦發現寶寶可能沒有存活機會，寶寶的屍體氣味可能會引來掠食者攻擊，爸媽就會選擇吃掉寶寶以防安全，這次被吃掉的寶寶就是生命跡象微弱，才會被媽媽吃掉。
 
最後被救出的寶寶，當時也同樣病弱，體重僅約450公克，經保育員照料，目前狀況一切良好，體重已有近5公斤重，園方希望最終還是能將寶寶送回媽媽身邊，或是讓牠融入其他懶猴中。 （周佩萱／綜合外電報導）
